1. Overview

Got it (“the app”) is an offline translation app. Translation, speech recognition and text recognition in images all happen on your device. We do not collect, store or share your personal information or anything you translate.

2. What we don’t collect

The app has no accounts and contains no ads, third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. The text you enter, the audio you record, the images you choose or take, your translations, history and favorites are never uploaded to any server.

3. Device permissions

Microphone: used only when you choose to use voice input, Conversation mode or Quick Voice Translation. Audio is processed only by the on-device speech model.

Camera: used only when you take a photo to translate. Text in the photo is recognized on your device. Picking from your library uses the system picker, so the app can only read the images you select.

You can turn these permissions off in iOS Settings at any time; text translation keeps working.

4. Network access

The app goes online only to download models, connecting to model-hosting sites such as Hugging Face or ModelScope. Those sites may keep access logs, such as IP addresses, under their own policies. Download requests never contain your translations. Translating itself needs no network.

5. Local storage

Model files, history, favorites, settings and diagnostic logs are stored on your device. Some of this lives in storage shared between the app and its system translation extension so both can read it. Diagnostic logs stay on your device and are never sent to us automatically.

6. Deleting your data

You can delete individual entries or all of your history, favorites and models in the app. Uninstalling the app removes its data through iOS.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we’ll publish the new version on this page and update the date.
