Offline use
Does it really work without a connection?
You only need a connection to download the models. After that, text, voice and photo translation all run on your device, even in Airplane Mode.
Why is the first translation slower?
The model takes a moment to load into memory the first time. After that it’s much faster. Speed also depends on your device.
Models and storage
How much space does it need?
The translation model is about 1.3 GB, the speech model about 1.1 GB, and the optional voice pack about 440 MB. We recommend at least 2.5 GB free.
What if a download fails or is slow?
Downloads can be paused and resumed, and pick up where they left off. You can also switch the source to Hugging Face or ModelScope in Settings › Models.
Can I delete the models?
Yes. Remove them one by one or all at once in model management, and download again whenever you need them.

Which languages are supported?
The default model, Index-Translate-2B, covers more than 150 languages; HY-MT2-1.8B supports 38. Speech recognition supports 30 languages. Quality can vary by language.
How do I use it in other apps?
Go to Settings › Apps › Default Apps › Translation and choose Got it. Then select text in any app and tap Translate.
What’s the difference between history and favorites?
History records every translation automatically. Favorites keep the lines you want long term, and clearing history doesn’t touch them.
Privacy and devices
Is anything I translate uploaded?
No. Got it has no account, ads or third-party analytics, and your translations are stored only on your device.
Why does it ask for the microphone and camera?
The microphone is for voice input and the camera is for photo translation. If you don’t use them, it won’t ask, and you can turn them off in iOS Settings any time.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone or iPad with iOS 18.4 or later. A device with 6 GB of memory or more is recommended; devices with less memory may not be able to run the translation model.
